Surrealistic, pure, pristine, untouched landscape...cultured and dignified people. Visiting Bhutan has changed me. To know that happiness is not a result of materialism is one thing, but to see it and feel it in the people of a nation - that is an experience that awakens you! I thought to myself all along, 'why would people living here need a lot of money'? And I did not get an answer. My collection of gadgets and armoury of psychological defences felt inadequate before the simplicity and honesty of the people here.
